This is the second part of the Taekwondo Forms Workshop. Although this workshop was meant to target higher colored-belts, many lower colored-belts showed up for the workshop as well.  Our guest instructor is Dr. Dennis Lieu, who is a 4th Dan Black-Belt, with Aviva Shimelman assisting.

We split off the Red-Belts from the lower colored-belts to make sure the Red-Belts have time to learn all the higher Taegeuk and Palgwe forms while giving the lower colored-belts a chance to practice their forms without confusing them with forms they did not need to know yet. The large degree of variation in levels between the students is what makes teaching at Oracle Taekwondo a challenge.  When it is just one black-belt teaching, it is almost impossible to attend to every student during forms without delegating some teaching duties to a Red-Belt. At the same time, Red-Belts do not get to learn the forms they need to know. That is mainly one reason that we require Red-Belts to attend Advanced Class at UCMAP at least once a week - to not only learn the forms that is required, but also to practice sparring techniques with students of the same level.

For this workshop, Dr. Lieu instructed the Red-Belts and Aviva instructed the lower colored-belts.
